13 December 1986, 25 years back the great actress Smita Patil died at the age of 31 due to childbirth complications. Yeah! The year I was studying in 10th standard. Smita Patil was an Indian Actress of film, television and theatre. She was appeared in over 75 Hindi and Marathi films in a career.

During her career, she received two National Film Awards and a Filmfare Award. She was the recipient of the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian honor in 1985. She is one among the few versatile Indian actresses, who have made a special position in the hearts of people. She was indeed the pride of Bollywood.
